Solid PDO (polydioxanone)Threads/ Solid PDO Fillers – There are two types of threads, smooth and cogged. The smooth threads are placed in a grid-like pattern producing a skin tightening effect. Cogged threads form a support that lifts sagging skin. 

PDO threads are a medical grade thread made of protein that is thinner than hair. According to current research, PDO threading causes a reaction that improves the blood flow to the area, and stimulate collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid production.  All contribute to maintaining firm, youthful looking skin. After the thread resorbs, a “scaffold” of new and healthy tissue remains.

PDO threads have a high safety profile, complete absorption and minimal adverse tissue reaction. Scarring risk is minimal.
